I bought this for 2 reasons:1) the suitcase strap on the back, so I don't have to carry it through the airport2) the water bottle holderBoth function as I need them too. My 16oz cylindrical tumbler fits perfectly with the pocket unzipped with the bag full. The interior is roomy enough to hold my laptop, a book, my liquids/bathroom bag, my glasses case, and a myriad of other small items (wallet, charging cords, ear buds, meds, etc). The cloth does have a bit of a diaper bag feel to it, but I am ok with that because it holds up to being knocked around and tossed under the seat of an airplane. My only real complaint is the zipper on the outside pocket. I don't like having to unzip the entire thing to access the inner pockets. Its a minor complaint, really and probably just more of a personal preference. Otherwise, this is a great item for traveling!
